The people that work there are awesome, the quality of the food is good most of the time, but have noticed some changes that have brought the quality down some.

had the mongolian bbq. perfectly cooked and seasoned. dessert fruit and cottage cheese, yummay. aint cheap but, worthy..

Good selection, daily specials and great coffee.

I've read the reviews and I don't know what peoples standards are but I've never had bad food here and the selection is always good.

Great place to eat, inexpensive lunch buffet but dinner is way to expensive Monday lunch buffet is buy one get one free, really great deal but the downfall is the same food is served everyday great dessert items love the salad bar, but same old dishes, need to change it up a bit.

Did away with their all you can eat crab legs but that's not the issue. I paid $40 for 2 people on the buffet plus a additional $15 for 3 pounds of crab legs. When I went to go, I asked for a take out container for the crab legs I paid $5 a pound for. They told me I couldn't take them. I paid for them, I should of been allowed to take them. I won't ever go to Downstream Casino or their restaurant ever again and I am telling everyone how they treated me. So far the people at my work said they won't go there and my friends outside of work said the same. You run a dishonest business, you will loose business!

Ate dinner here on a Saturday night - the buffet, and we were VERY impressed. A wide variety of meats and veggies to choose from - the smoked ribs were SO good! A cold pasta and salad bar that was great, and I can't even say enough about the desserts, just WOW. Little "fun size" portions so you could try a couple of varieties. We were seated promptly (and we're not even Gold or Platinum) and the service was great. Our waitress checked on us several times, and it was quite busy. All the restaurants gave us half off with our military discount, so we ate ourselves silly on fabulous food, for CHEAP!!! So thrilled, we will certainly go back for this buffet again. Just can't say enough about it! They also have a fresh "made to order" grill, where you can put what you want in a bowl, and they'll cook it fresh for you - smelled yummy, although we found plenty on the bar, already ready to go!

Not worth it.

I love the Spring River Buffet, but there are definitely some nights that are better than others. The shrimp is always good and the crab leg add ons are soooooo good. (add ons are an extra $10, except one night of the week they are $5) They always have a good salad and noodle bar. The buffet is rather pricey, but you can use your players card to get a discount. Get a friend and go on BOGO night.

Charge $20 for their buffet, at best should be no more than $10. The food is over cooked, most likely recycled from previous day, and bland.

Staff where very friendly and helpful. Food was nice and hot also tasted good. Dessert was really good. Lunch price cheap. Paid under $15 for 2 adults, we got water but pop was only $1 extra per person. That's cheap for pop. Where can you eat shrimp and have amazing dessert for under $15? Nowhere that I know of around here. Prices are higher at dinner time. Not sure on price for weekend lunch. Was there at lunch on a Friday and it was around 1pm when we ate. Will be back if I'm ever in Joplin, since it's really close by.

3/30/2019 Saturday afternoon the line is out of control only one person at cashiers counter. You would think with all the money they take in we good get more staffing at the cashiers desk.. went to legends sports bar staff was quick and friendly. Downstream get your buffet under control

Good casino food. Monday 4pm to 9pm 2 buffets for $19.25 total. Deserts were great. I’m selective on the main menu. Tips very good. Wife liked the Mac & cheese. They have stir fry. Taco bar. Drink included.

We used to drive over an hour every couple of weeks for this buffet. We will not be returning any time soon. They no longer have all you can eat crab legs. Now they have an add-on, $10 for 1 pound which only amounted to 2 clusters. The rest of the bar seems to have really gone down in quality too. The noodle bar used to be really good but there hasn't been anyone cooking in a while that does a good job. There are other casinos much closer with buffets, I guess they will receiving our business now.

The Noodle Bar is great, but with only one person working behind the counter, it takes close to a half an hour to get your noodle bowl. By the time you get it, the rest of your party has already finished their dinner. Need more help!!

The Buffet is the Best of any Casino I've ate at! And, All the food places here are very good. Everyone working here are very nice.

There is always such a great selection of food to choose from, there's no way to leave hungry. Am downgrading my review a bit, as it seems like every time we come here to eat the food selection is exactly the same. Think we're going to start hitting some other restaurant the weekends we come to the Joplin area, as we are both burnt out with this place. Some variety on the buffet would be really nice.

Monday night is Buffet night two-for-the-price-of-one .

We paid $42.00 for two. They advertised it as Surf and turf. It is definitely not surf and turf. Flank steak cut in thin thin strips with a very hot spicy rub and cat fish, flounder. Sorry but that is not surf and turf. The food is the same old same old. Dried out fried chicken can veggies not a great buffet. The pies are left whole and look a dreadful mess from everyone helping themselves and digging in them. Cut pieces and put them on a plate and put that out for people to take a piece. They have sliced cheesecake but nothing to top it, very dry and tasteless. I have been here several times and this is the last. Prices way too high for this cheap not much selection food.

Zero selection, we walked around the entire spread 3 times trying to find one thing to put on our plates. Most of the buffet is the salad bar and dessert bar. What food they had was gross and old and of nursing home quality. Rude Downstream, just freakin' rude. Why don't you just serve us slop and tell us that'll do, pig? We will never be back.

The food is okay but this is far from the best casino buffet I've had. The lunch prices are very reasonable and the food isn't bad for the price. Dinner challenges that a little more but the Friday night AYCE crablegs ($9.99 upcharge) were very good. The day pass adds value.

If I could give zero stars I would! We ate there last night it cost us $55 for the buffet for 2 adults and 1 child. The hostess named Katelyn was rude and rolled her eyes after we spoke up about being skipped 2 times to b seated! The food was nothing to write home about the crablegs were the only thing worth anything! There were empty tables all around us and there was a huge line just waiting to be seated. Wasn't impressed at all!

Nice Buffett. Good selection of hot foods, great salad bar and their deserts are awesome. Drinks included and the people are really friendly. It can get busy but most of the time it isn't to bad. Oh and did I mention it's at a casino... win, win.

Very disappointed that there is no longer an all you can eat crab leg Tuesday. That's the main reason to go to the casino. Eat, drink and loose a few bucks. No longer though. Bring back the AYCE crab legs.

Only four stars. Last visit they had no cottage cheese.

Food cold,was not enough out for lunch time,cooks didn't want to fresh food out, dirty plates and my tea camed out dirty with something on the inside. After me and husband eat what they had out , I had to go to bathroom and through up.

I paid 40 bucks for all you can eat crab legs and I'm disappointed. SUPER DRY crab legs and food. Golden Coral is better then this place and for 2/3 of the price. Dont waste your money especially on crab legs.

Love seafood night best price in town

I have been coming here since downstream opened. I eat here about 4 times a month. Almost every time somebody without a gold card gets in the wrong line and gets seated first when I have been in line for 10 plus minutes. I'm sick of it.

Food is good but the selection seems to be the same day after day on the lunch buffet. Waitresses are friendly and seem to make efforts to may your visit better. Some of the food seems to come from previous night's selection.
